Background

Melanie grew up in Owego NY. She received her BS in Management with a minor in Literary and Musical Arts, as well as an MBA from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY. She entered the field of Orchestra Management and held a variety of positions at the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and the Garde Arts Center in New London, CT. Currently she is Vice President at Competitrack, a market research firm based in Long Island City, NY as a financial services advertising analyst.

Melanie has been a member of Toastmasters International since 2000. She has extensive public speaking experience ranging from training groups of telemarketers about the upcoming symphony orchestra season to making pre-performance remarks to a theater of 1200 patrons. Melanie also owns her own company Red Inc. (www.redinc.biz) specializing in preparing applicants for job interviews to enable them to answer virtually any question with confidence and poise. Her course "Sweaty Palms and Awkward Answers" is part of the Stamford and Westport, CT Continuing Education Fall 2004 coursebook. She is also available for individual Presentation Critiques and Job Interview Coaching.
