Club Officers

Each year the club membership elects individuals to occupy various leadership roles on the club's Executive Committee. In addition to the responsibilities listed below, this group of individuals helps to shape and refine the culture and distinctive aspects of the club during the coming year. The Executive Committee is also responsible for helping the club to achieve its DCP Status as well as continuing to do all that we can to maintain the veracity of club's by-line that we are the "Best Damn Club on the Planet"!

Now, let's introduce our officers for the July 1st 2007 - June 30th 2008 term:


President

Malcolm Dickinson

The President presides over club meetings and provides overall club leadership. The President oversees and inspires the activities of the other officers by delegating tasks and responsibilities in an effective manner. The President is a good source for information about the club. Send e-mail

VP Education

Louise Hickok

The Vice President - Education prepares the meeting schedules and is responsible for the club contests. This person also helps to set goals for each member. The VP of Education also provides leadership for improving and enhancing our mentor program.

VP Membership

The Vice President - Membership is responsible for maintaining the club's membership. This person also helps to integrate new members by providing leadership on various new member club programs. Send e-mail

VP Public Relations

Jeffrey Stern

The Vice President - Public Relations is responsible for activities that promote and increase the public awareness of the club and its events. This person is also responsible for managing and developing mutually beneficial relationships between the club and outside organizations.Send e-mail

Secretary

OPEN

The Secretary is responsible for keeping a record of club activities and club meetings. This person also ensures that a Meeting Attendance form is completed fully and accurately for every club meeting. The Secretary may also decide to work on the committee responsible for the regular and timely publication of our club newsletter. Send e-mail

Treasurer

The Treasurer collects dues and can answer any questions about club finances or how to complete a membership application. The Treasurer is a good source of information about club finances. Send e-mail

Sergeant at Arms

OPEN

The Sergeant-at-Arms is responsible for the setup and breakdown of the meeting space before and after every meeting. In the Stamford chapter, this person is also responsible for the transport and storage of our meeting supplies. The Sergeant-at-Arms, like all the officers, is responsible for greeting meeting attendees.

The Immediate Past President provides continuity for the executive committee. He or she serves as a resource for the executive officers and the club. Send e-mail

The Area Governor serves as an advisory resource for the clubs in the local area, including both corporate and community clubs.
