Greater Stamford Toastmasters announces
2008-2009 officers



STAMFORD, CONNECTICUT (July 1, 2008) - Greater Stamford Toastmasters elected new officers to the Executive Committee on June 23, 2008. The following members took officer positions effective July 1:

President - Sarah Thuo

Vice President - Education - Angela Jamerson

Vice President - Membership - Simon Silverleaf

VP Public Relations - Jeffrey Stern

Treasurer - Malcolm Dickinson

Sergeant At Arms - Karl Sundberg

The Greater Stamford Toastmasters offers an established speaking program in which members deliver a series of prepared speeches on a self-determined schedule. Each prepared speech has a distinct set of goals that builds upon lessons learned from previous assignments. The mission of the club is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment for members to develop communication and leadership skills.

The Greater Stamford Toastmasters club is a chapter of Toastmasters International, a non-profit organization with around 10,000 chapters globally. This Stamford club globally ranked among the Top 25 clubs. It is conveniently located in the southwestern corner of coastal Fairfield County, and is comprised of a diverse group of individuals. The club has been active for over 50 years and gives the members an opportunity to get involved in mentoring, competitions and video programs along with regular weekly meetings.

Please feel free to drop in and visit the club meetings. There is no charge to visit as a guest, no reservation need to attend the meeting. Meetings held every Tuesday from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.
